More time has gone into designing this apparently simple chair than any other piece I have made. The aim was to use a minimal number of components to create a comfortable, strong and elegant chair. By steam bending the components the stresses in the chair are taken on the bends rather than the joints which could over time become loose. The slight flex in the back and solid hand carved seat create a chair which is pleasing to look at and use. Finished with oil and bees wax
